Our Story

It all started 10 years ago in the historic city of Aberdeen, Scotland, where two students from opposite ends of Europe found themselves in the same place at the same time. Demetris, the loud, flamboyant guy from sunny Cyprus, and Laura, the reserved, organised and intelligent student from the beyond the wall Estonia, were both studying at the University of Aberdeen when fate decided to throw them together. 

Their first interaction? Let’s just say, it was less *spark* and more *frost*. They were tasked with organizing an international student conference—Demetris, eager to be the life of the party (as usual), and Laura, diligently plotting every detail with precision. At first, there was no hint of romance — just one very focused driven person.. and Demetris. 

But somehow, despite the very different approaches to life, the collaboration began to work. As the ice slowly melted, Demetris began to see that Laura’s serious, no-nonsense attitude was more than just a counterbalance to his antics — it was something to be admired. Her intellect and her quiet strength were qualities he’d never take for granted. And Laura? Well, she began to see that beneath all of Demetris’ boldness and big ego, there was someone who genuinely cared, even if it was often hidden behind a joke or a tease.

And now, ten years later, we're here, celebrating not just the love that has grown between us, but the incredible adventure that started in Aberdeen. Who would’ve guessed that the loud guy who couldn’t stop cracking jokes would end up with the brilliant, introverted woman who used to roll her eyes at him?

And with that, we invite you to join us in celebrating the journey that started with a few awkward laughs and has turned into the greatest adventure of our lives.
